The Utah Fathers' Rights Meetup Group is an online civil rights group for connecting family rights advocates and organizations in Utah together - with each other, with more information, and with other resources. Our group has a particular focus on defending the family in the war being waged against it by the unholy alliance of the divorce industry and rising misandrism. We cannot allow the family to fall any further into disrepair. Families are not up for sale and it's time we take back our country from the worst form of terrorism today - the war on the family that's tragically so often no better recognized than by divorcing or divorced fathers and their children who are left to wonder where we are and what happened to us.
The harsh wakeup that so often divorcing fathers have to this attack on the family is perhaps best described by Political Scientist Dr. Stephen Baskerville in his new book TAKEN INTO CUSTODY: The War Against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family who writes: "...the astonishing but incontrovertible fact is that with the exception of convicted criminals, no group in our society today has fewer rights than fathers. Even accused criminals have the right to due process of law, to know the charges against them, to face their accusers, to a lawyer, to a trial, and to expect knowingly false accusations to be punished. A father can be deprived of his children, his home, his savings, his future earnings, his privacy, and his freedom without any of these constitutional protections. Once a man has a child, he forfeits his most important constitutional rights. And mothers are not immune."
And beyond Professor Baskerville's work we have many others like Dr. Charles E. Corry who in his recent newsletter entitled Taken into custody, tortured and outraged writes "Unquestionably the future is grim for most of our children as currently only about 15 out of 100 are born into and reach age 18 in an intact family." More of this newsletter can be found in our "About Us" page similarly entitled Taken into custody, tortured and outraged.
Make a difference right now to end the presumptive sole custody we have today and help defend parental rights from increasing government enmeshment in the family. Sign the ACFC petition for Shared Parenting and sign the ParentalRights.org petition for a constitutional amendment that protects the vital child-parent relationship from unreasonable government intrusion:
